SeaShell International Inc. is proud to offer the spectacular SeaShell Awning™. SeaShell Awnings help with cool energy savings by reducing direct solar heat gain (SHGC) through windows. This directly reduces the impact of global warming and reduces peak electricity demand associated with cooling, further leading to energy cost savings for our customers. Another outcome of peak demand reduction is the overall savings to the public from a decreased need to build new energy generating capacity. SeaShell Awnings Recycle Program and Product Post Consumer Content
SeaShell International believes in helping the environment, that's why we have created our own company recycle program. In striving to recycle 100% of our reusable waste, we have separate bins dedicated to aluminum, glass, cardboard and paper for both our office and manufacturing plant. We are aware of what is happening to the environment around us and believe that each of us can make a change. The program does not just stop there however. Our products extruded parts are also manufactured using recycled aluminum "Slugs" comprised of post consumer content thus completing the cycle for a 360 degree green program.
Day-lighting SeaShell International, Inc
The 13300 ft2 SeaShell International facility is fully day-lit using a mixture of 160 DS, 290 DS, 21-C and 21-O Solatube® tubular skylights. By installing Solatubes we have improved our energy efficiency and reduced our company's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and carbon footprint. Every employee works under a Solatube, benefitting from the natural light. Our employees have found that they have fewer sick days, fewer headaches and decreased eye strain during working hours here at SeaShell Awnings. Employees are happier and healthier by being able to work under daylight rather than fluorescent office lighting. Online Meetings and SeaShell University
SeaShell International makes extensive use of the services supplied by WebEX™ in which we can conduct detailed training, Discovery days and SeaShell University without leaving our corporate offices thus reducing our environmental impact by driving or flying around the world. The best part is that this helps reduce our carbon footprint as well as saves us money.. what a deal.
Office Green Products
The SeaShell Awning is a green product and we are proud of what it has to offer our customers. We pride ourselves on using "green" products, including cleaning products. We have transitioned the majority of our cleaning products to natural cleaning products to help keep our office clean. Green Works™ by Clorox™ is an all natural, all purpose cleaner that we highly recommend. It is made from plant- and mineral based ingredients, all of which are biodegradable. All of our office computer equipment and network is energy star compliant, further lowering our impact.
Employee Product Program
In our continued commitment to green living, SeaShell Awnings also offers its' employees annual product allowances and discounts for them to install our heat reducing products in their homes. We believe in the benefits of having SeaShell Awnings installed on homes and we are pleased to continue to offer this great program yearly.
SeaShell International Hybrid Vehicle Credit
SeaShell International, Inc is pleased to offer $500.00 to any employee who purchases or leases a hybrid vehicle. We believe that this incentive helps further encourage employees to "think green" and ultimately further help our environment by driving low emission vehicles.
