John Hanley is the CEO and Chairman of the Board for SeaShell International. Born in Sydney, Australia, John is the original founder of Solatube Australia (SA), which began manufacturing and distributing the Solatube tubular skylight in Australia in 1990. By 1992, John and his two partners formed Solatube International Inc.(STI), which began the manufacturing and sales distribution of Solatube Skylights within North America. During his tenure from 1992 through 1998 he served as a Director until he founded Solatube Global Marketing (SGM) in 1998.

Since forming SGM, John has championed the concept of sustainability and environmentally friendly design. Ten years later, Solatube products are now sold and distributed in over 50 countries globally. John is quite active in the International Trade and Business community and serves on the board of directors for other San Diego area businesses including International Marketing Group LLC, HHH Properties LLC and the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce. He is an active Member of Vistage, the world's leading Chief Executive Organization, as well as the San Diego International Trade Advisory Board.
